Healthy Paleo Desserts: Chocolate, Pistachio-Covered Tangerines

Sadly, it’s true.

But try to resist the urge, as it’s not always worth it. One piece of cheesecake has me feeling like shit for a full 24 hours, so I always try to steer clear of dairy-heavy and processed desserts, no matter how tempting the options are.

This super easy little dessert/appetizer can help to satisfy that holiday sweet tooth. It’s super yummy and sweet but without all the processed crap that is in so many other holiday treats.

Three ingredients. And you can easily switch out the fruit and nut combo to your liking. I also sometimes throw in a little diced dried fruit with my nuts for some added flavor; play around with it. Fun. Easy. Healthy.

Healing Cantaloupe Juice Recipe

Cantaloupe juice, Cantaloupe juice recipe, healthy juice, antioxidant juice, vitamin juiceCantaloupes are one of my favorite fruits — to eat and to juice. They are sweet, refreshing, low-calorie and loaded with valuable vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, including vitamin C, beta-carotene, potassium and folic acid.

And when combined with pineapple, orange, carrots and ginger, the nutrition and healing benefits are only amplified.

This juice is a life-saver when you’re feeling under the weather — the fruits give you tons vitamins, while the ginger can help ease your stomach and clear congestion — but I drink it weekly, regardless of how I’m feeling. You can also double or triple this recipe up and separate and store it in mason jars to enjoy throughout the week, which how I do it most often, since it saves me from having to clean my juicer on a daily basis :).
