Easy Homemade Paleo BBQ Sauce Recipe

homemade bbq sauce, paleo bbq sauce, bbq sauce recipe, easy bq sauce recipeIf you are strict Paleo, condiments are sadly questionable. Excluding Dijon mustard, yummy sauces or toppers like BBQ sauce and ketchup usually contain processed ingredients, and therefore are off limits — unless you make them yourself.

BBQ was one of my favorite sauces not enjoyed by cavemen, so when I went Paleo, I started making it myself, and loved it even more. Homemade BBQ sauce is so much more flavorful, and the fact that you can alter it to your tastes is another plus — hold the sweet and heavy on the spice — or whatever combo you choose. This version had a good mix of sweetness and spiciness, but if you lean more one way or another, add a little extra cayenne/maple or omit a little.ย  Yum ๐Ÿ™‚

This can keep in the fridge in an air-tight container for up to 5 to 7 days.
