I try to keep saltier and fattier meats to a minimum, but when I’m looking for a sluttier dinner that doesn’t go completely off the reservation, I always incorporate bacon.

This recipe is actually a variation of a pork marinade that I make often — with an added bacon outer wrapper. Yum. It’s a total crowd-pleaser and looks way fancier and harder to put together than it is. I find people are often unnecessarily impressed when I serve this.

I usually pair this with some cooked kale or roasted veggies, but it really goes with anything. Enjoy!

Orange-Maple Glazed Pork Chops Recipe

Maple Glazed Pork Chops, Healthy Pork Chop Recipe, Orange Maple Pork Chops Flavored with natural sugars and citrus is my favorite way to cook the other white meat. Not only is it easy and healthy, it always seems to satisfy my sweet tooth in a way that doesn’t leave me feeling guilty.

Sometimes I will sub out the maple syrup for some raw honey depending what I have in-house; it works just as well. This pairs great with sweet veggies like roasted carrots, sweet potatoes or baked apples.

Paleo Spicy Pork Recipe with Thai Chili

spicy pork recipe, thai pork, healthy pork recipeI love making marinades in the blender. It’s so simple — saving me from tedious mincing and dicing — and it’s super quick.

This sweet and spicy pork marinade is one of my favorites. You can amp up or tone down the heat based on which chili you pick and whether or not you choose to omit the seeds. I tend to always go for two Thai chili, sans seeds, and I think it delivers the perfect amount of spice that is nicely complemented with the sweetness of the juice and the sugar. If you are looking for something a little tamer, I would go with jalapenos or something milder, but I recommend going for the fire if you can handle it — it’s so yum — and it pairs great with a frosty brew 🙂

Garlicky Pork Chimichurri Marinade and Sauce Recipe

Chimichurri Pork marinade, Chimichurri  sauce recipeA good garlicky and tangy chimichurri is in my top five favorite sauces to pair with meat. It’s always been one of my fail-safe dishes to order when dining out, and quickly became one of my favorite meals to prepare at home, not only because I love the flavors, but its really easy to whip up; just throw all the ingredients in a food processor and press the ON button — easy peasy.

I used to make it only when I was serving skirt or flank steak, but I recently experimented with a pork chimichurri, and loved the result.

This sauce/marinade is an Argentinean classic, and I try to keep my version close to the traditional, only adding a little extra spice; why mess with a good thing, right?

Paleo Citrus-Marinated Pork Recipe

paleo pork recipe, citrus prok, citrus-marinated pork When some people think of pork they think heavy BBQ or fatty cuts, but pork can be light and healthy; its so versatile. This citrus-based pork marinade is just that: light and healthy and perfect for summer.

I normally serve this over salad (it’s pictured with my Kale and Avocado salad recipe) or with some fresh vegetables.

I have always found that, with pork specifically, marinating it overnight makes a significant difference in the flavor of the meat, but if you are crunched for time, try to keep it marinating for at least four hours. I cooked these chops on the grill, but they can be baked or pan fried, as well. Enjoy!

Paleo Molasses-Orange Pork Recipe with Skillet-Roasted Apples

It’s super tasty and flavorful — and like chicken — can be done in an endless array of ways. To keep it healthy, I normally use lean cuts of loin or boneless center-cut chops, but I also love pulled pork and fattier versions when I’m in the mood for a bit of a cheat.

This recipe was adapted from a post I found on WhatIGather.com, I just added/omitted a few ingredients based on my personal taste. The original recipe called for sweet potatoes, and while they are delicious — and Paleo-friendly — I tend to try and stay away from starchy fruits and veggies unless I’m paring them with something really light. Considering, I used some beautiful Pink Lady apples that I found at Whole Foods, and I prefer the pairing of the pork with the apples as opposed to the sweet potatoes.

I usually pair this with some arugula dressed with some fresh lemon juice and cracked black pepper. Enjoy!

Healthy Asian Pork and ‘Rice’ Stir-Fry Bowl

This recipe of sweet and slightly spicy pork paired with fresh veggies and warm cauliflower rice is seriously delicious.
